I have to yap about KINO for a second!!!! I will make a shrine in the future but not todayyyyy... QwQ
KINO is a really cool Russian new vawe/rock/postpunk band founded by Viktor Tsoi in 1981! The band consisted of four members: Viktor Tsoi - the frontman and guitarist, lead guitarist Yuri Kasparin, drummer Oleg Vasilski, and drummer Georgy Guryanov. Though the members always changed like every two years, the only two members who stayed were Tsoi and Kasparin. My favourite album by them is Noch and my current favourite song by them is Zvezdi Ostanutsya Zdes.

In 1990, a tragedy struck - Viktor Tsoi died in a car crash :( The band disbanded short after but made a comeback in 2019, and right now the band members are Yuri Kasparov, Alexander Titov, and Igor Tikhomirov. I personally don't really like the new songs by them because it's missing Tsoi. Vitya had an amazing almost mesmerizing voice!
In fact, he would sign something like three times and layer the takes on eachother, creating a beautiful deep effect that can be often heard in his songs. I would argue it's most prominent in Gruppa Krovi.

fun fact! Viktor Tsoi made a demo song of Gruppa Krovi in english, titled blood type, shortly before the accident happened. The song belongs to the album titled Poslednye Zapisi that is also called White album, and it has 19 demos and previously unreleased studio recordings.

Viktor Tsoi also appeared in films! Him and his band had a camo in the film Assa (1987), and then Vitya had the protagonist role in IGLA(1989), which also had sountrack by Kino. The film is about a man named Moro, who travels to Kazachstan to collect money owed to him, but visits his ex girlfriend Diana, who became a drug addict. He decides to help her quit drugs and fight the drug mafia.
I'd say that the film is an art film that is worth watching, it's on youtube and it's 76 minutes long.

There is also a tribute musical film about KINO, it's called Leto (2018) directed by Kirill Serebrennikov. It's about the band history, and about personal life of the members, and notably about the love triangle between Vitya, Mike Naumenko and Mike's girlfriend Natalia. Viktor Tsoi is played by Teo Yoo and I'd say that the acting is very in character.

Also Stan (my awesome boyfriend) ordered me a pillow with image of Vitya (the one on the left) online, I love him sososososoooo much!!! (both Vitya and my bf :3)

On this day, this awesome thursday, I went out with my best friend, Adam!! We bought these snacks - they're imported from Ukraine and have a variety of unique flavours - and went for a picnic near a pond! The hroom chips are aspik flavour and they were disgusting and the Salyut ones are baked pork flavour and they were quite tasty, but not as good as mushroom flavoured Salyut. On our way to the pond we came across a lemonade stand ran by some middle schoolers, the lemonade was for 10 czech crowns, and super refreshing, just not really cold.
we then went swimming!! It was really fun but I didn't swim for long, since i got cramps in my leg, lol. There were also tiny little baby frogs!!! awwwwwhwhwhhw

I haven't updated my site in a very long time, so I decided to come back! I mean I don't really think anyone checks my website, but I started to miss my web. Maybe I'm doing this just for myself. I wanted this web to be my diary, and a place where I can post my photography and art. I probably stopped because it gives me less dopamine than posting on tumblr, where I can see the likes and reblogs and all. But now I know that likes don't really matter! And I need a place just for me. So, this is it! I'm probably gonna overhaul this site a little and finally finish the unfinished sections, the blog page and the bone collection page. So, my dear viewer, stay tuned!

this puppy is Zenit-E, and I really REALLY want it!!! It is a Soviet 35mm analogue camera, and my friend Honza has it. A week or two ago, I was hanging out with my boyfriend and the friend I mentioned, and we were having a photography session. However my bf has a praktica and our friend had a fancy digital camera and i felt a bit silly when I pulled out my small Nikon Coolpix, so Honza borrowed me his Zenit!! It feels so good to press the camera trigger. I can't wait to see the developed film! Here's a Wiki page about this cool camera.

okay so I started to mess around with the Red Star OS 2.0 at the start of december. I installed it on my Virtual Machine. Can't really understand anything because I don't speak Korean, sooo I unlocked the root user (easy business) and tried to run the command that SHOULD unlock english (and theorethically czech), but it didn't work :( It's okay though, because it has a lot of interesting features on it's own. Like weird knock-off games, or this music player with preinstalled music? Such an interesting window into the mysterious, gruesome land of North Korea!!!
